Additol XW 6580 is a leveling and substrate wetting agent based on polyether-modified siloxanes for water- and oil-based coating systems.
Strongly reduces surface tension, improves substrate wetting and leveling, and destabilizes foam.
Additol XW 6580 neither improves surface smoothness nor affects recoatability. If higher surface smoothness is required, we recommend adding Additol XL 123N in addition to colorless or pale yellow.
Suggested use
Additol XW 6580 can be added at any stage of paint production.
The addition amount is 0.05-0.5% of the total formula.
