Application field

(1) Coating industry

a. Product features and advantages

BYK-028 is the standard defoamer for aqueous emulsion systems and the starting point for testing the defoamer product range. This defoamer is especially recommended for high-gloss emulsion systems of acrylate/polyurethane or polyurethane with a pigment volume concentration in the range of 0-25, and is easy to add.

b. Recommended dosage

0.1-1% Auxiliary dosage (as purchased) is based on the total formulation.

c. Joining methods and processing instructions

The adjuvant can be added at any stage of production. The amount of defoamer can be divided into two additions (2/3 of the amount added to the millbase and 1/3 of the amount added during the letdown stage or after completion).

BYK-028 is recommended for defoaming of various waterborne adhesive systems.

0.05-1% Auxiliary dosage (as purchased) is based on the total formulation.
