Solubility
Main raw material for synthetic polyurethane; used for synthesizing spandex, PU resin, water-based PUD, CPU, TPU, etc., with excellent physicochemical properties such as good hydrolysis resistance, high elasticity, wear resistance and low temperature resistance.
Hygroscopicity
Soluble in alcohol, esters, ketones, aromatic hydrocarbons and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Insoluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons and water. As the molecular weight increases, the solubility will decrease.
PTMEG is hygroscopic. At room temperature, PTMEG can absorb up to 2wt% of water according to different molecular weights.
